The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)βAbra continues to reap the rewards of its unwavering commitment to public service and inclusive economic development after being recognized as one of the Outstanding BSP Stakeholders for North Luzon during the 2026 Outstanding BSP Stakeholders Appreciation Ceremony (OBSAC) held on 30 July 2026 at the William Cameron Forbes Ballroom, Baguio Country Club in Baguio City.
The award was received by DTI-Abra Acting Provincial Director Marvin T. Arcangel together with DTI-CAR Regional Director Atty. Raymond G. Panhon, representing the Departmentβs strong partnership with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in advancing programs that bring meaningful impact to communities.
More than a recognition of institutional excellence, the award reflects years of collaborative efforts between DTI and BSP in promoting financial literacy, expanding financial inclusion, and empowering consumers and entrepreneurs to make informed financial decisions. Through joint initiatives, the partnership has strengthened the capabilities of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), enabling them to adopt digital financial services, improve business resilience, and participate more actively in the formal economy.
For DTI-Abra, the recognition serves as a testament to the collective dedication of its personnel and partners who continuously work to make government services more responsive and accessible. From conducting financial education activities and consumer awareness campaigns to supporting digital payment adoption among businesses, the office has consistently championed programs that contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
βThis recognition inspires us to continue building stronger partnerships that create lasting opportunities for our entrepreneurs and communities,β Acting Provincial Director Marvin T. Arcangel said. βIt affirms that through collaboration, we can advance financial empowerment and help improve the lives of every Filipino.β
DTI-Abra likewise expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas for the distinction and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the BSPβs core mandates while pursuing initiatives that strengthen consumer welfare, business development, and economic resilience in the province of Abra.
As government agencies continue to work hand in hand, recognitions such as the Outstanding BSP Stakeholders Award underscore the importance of collaboration in achieving shared goalsβcreating an inclusive financial ecosystem where every Filipino has greater access to opportunities for growth and prosperity.
