READY BEFORE THE RUMBLE—DUCK, COVER, AND HOLD!

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Region IV-A actively participated in the CY 2025 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) as part of its continuing commitment to disaster preparedness and public safety.

Personnel demonstrated the proper “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and followed established emergency protocols during the drill. This activity aims to strengthen awareness, improve response readiness, and ensure that employees are prepared in the event of an earthquake.

Let us stand together in building a culture of preparedness, safety, and resilience in the workplace and the community.

Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Region 4A- March 05, 2026, Jose F. Diaz Memorial Stadium

The Homeowners Association and Community Development Division (HOACDD) of Region 4A headed by its Division Chief, Louie Odiamar ,J.D. and through the leadershipnof the DHSUD R4A Regional Director Atty. Lyndon D. Juntilla, in partnership with the Local Government of San Mateo Rizal, through the Urban Poor Affairs and Community Development Office, conducted its HOA Serbisyo Tour for San Mateo Rizal.

The HOA Serbisyo-tour aims to bring the basic services of the HOACDD of Region 4A such as, the Registration and Re-registration of HOAs, receiving of HOA reportorial requirements and HOA help desk to serve the homeowners associations in the different municipalities and cities in CALABARZON.

Gracing the event were the Officials of San Mateo LGU headed by the Hon. Bartolome Rivera Jr. , Mayor of San Mateo Rizal.

The activity is organized by the UPAO and Community Development Office of San Mateo Rizal headed by Mr. Romula Chan.

First part of the activity is the orientation on the 2024 IRR of RA 9904 otherwise known as the Magna Carta for Homeowners and Homeowners Associations, followed by the opening of the Serbisyo Tour booths for consultation, registration/ re-registration, amendment of the By-laws and Articles of Incorporation and submission of compliance for homeowners associations. More than 200 participants and HOAs benefited from the very successful whole day activity.

This year, we stand in solidarity with all advocates in promoting safe, empowered, and inclusive communities where women and girls can thrive free from gender-based violence.

Let us continue to raise awareness, speak up, and take action. Ending VAW is a shared responsibility—together, we can build a future where every woman lives with dignity, respect, and equality.

Please be informed that the HOA & Community Development Division will be operating with a skeleton workforce on November 19-21, 2025 as the personnel from the said Division will be attending the 2025 HOACD Regional Conference and Year-End Assessment.

Regular operations will resume on November 24, 2025.
