On 14 August 2026, the (𝗠𝗜𝗧-𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗶) 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. (𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱) 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 successfully conducted its 𝟮𝗡𝗗 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 for the Military Science 1 (1st Semester) Academic Year (A.Y.) 2026-2027, held at 1602nd CDC, Kampo Ranao, Marawi City, LDS.

Administered by 𝗖𝗢𝗟. 𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘 𝗗. 𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗢, 𝗜𝗡𝗙 (𝗚𝗦𝗖) 𝗣𝗔 - Commandant of MIT ROTC Unit, headed by 𝗦𝗦𝗴. 𝗘𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗟. 𝗣𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿, (𝗜𝗡𝗙) 𝗣𝗔 - Admin NCO of MIT ROTC Unit together with the Graduate Military Assistants (GMA) and led by 𝗖𝗱𝘁/𝗖𝗼𝗹. 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗔𝗹𝗶 𝗗. 𝗚𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮, 𝟭𝗖𝗟 - Corps Commander of MIT ROTC Unit A.Y. 2026-2027.

At 1300H, the ROTC Cadets and Cadettes assembled to the formation and organized to the designated platoons, companies and batallion for accounting and checking the attendance.

Following this at 1330H, 𝗦𝗴𝘁. 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗕. 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗮, (𝗥𝗲𝘀) 𝗣𝗔 discuss the lecture about the "𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽". Followership is the ability of an individual to effectively support, cooperate with, and follow a leader in achieving a common goal or mission. In ROTC, followership is important because cadets are trained not only to become future leaders but also to become responsible and disciplined members of a team.

A person cannot become an effective leader without understanding how to be an effective follower. By learning to follow properly, cadets develop the discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and respect necessary for future leadership.

At 1430H, the Cadets was organized on field and review about basic military drills and ceremonies, such as Harap-Harapan, Tikas–Pahinga, and Hand Salute, instructed by 𝗦𝗦𝗴. 𝗘𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗟. 𝗣𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿, (𝗜𝗡𝗙) 𝗣𝗔. The GMA & Advance ROTC Officers assist/demonstrate the Cadets on proper marching, maintaining alignment and formation, and the correct ex*****on of salutes.

The activity/formation was done and successfully ended at 1600H.

At 1300H, the ROTC Cadets and Cadettes organized to their designated platoons to accounting for and report the platoons.

At 1330H the Cadets moved to the Multipurpose Hall to conduct the lecture which is "𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗖 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗜𝗘𝗦" discussed by 𝗦𝗴𝘁. 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹 𝗝𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗮𝗿 𝗙. 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗥𝗲𝘀) 𝗣𝗔. Basic Drills and Ceremonies are fundamental military training activities designed to develop discipline, teamwork, leadership, coordination, confidence, and military bearing among cadets.

Common basic drill will includes;
Position of Attention ,Parade Rest ,Stand at Ease
Right Face, Left Face, About Face, Hand Salute
Forward March.

At 1430H, ROTC Officers teach and supervise cadets in Basic Drills and Ceremonies. They explain and demonstrate proper movements, commands, formations, and salute.

ROTC Cadets and Cadettes practice and execute the commands, movements, while ROTC Officers and Training Staffs observe, correct mistakes, and evaluate their performance. Platoon Leaders may assist in organizing formations, giving commands, maintaining discipline, and supervising fellow cadets.

The activity/formation was done and successfully ended at 1600H.

The orientation officially commenced the journey of the Basic ROTC cadets, providing them with a strong foundation in the core values, principles, and responsibilities expected of every ROTC.

Through comprehensive briefings, discussions on military customs and traditions, and lectures covering the history, mission, and significance of the ROTC program, the cadets developed a deeper appreciation of their role as future reservists.

More than an introduction, the orientation served as a stepping stone in cultivating discipline, strengthening camaraderie, and instilling a sense of duty, leadership, and commitment to serve both the organization and the nation with honor and integrity.

The activity/program was done and successfully ended at 1600H and starting of their ROTC formation will be on next week (1st Day ROTC Formation).

The Graduation of MIT ROTC Unit was held on May 9, 2026 at 1602 CDC Kampo Ranao, Marawi City with theme "𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐂𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐈𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂𝐔, 𝐋𝐋𝐂𝐈 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂𝐔, 𝐁𝐈𝐀𝐈 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂𝐔, 𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐈 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂𝐔 & 𝐌𝐒𝐔-𝐋𝐍𝐂𝐀𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂𝐔."

𝐏𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫, (𝐈𝐍𝐅) 𝐏𝐀 - Admin NCO of MIT ROTC Unit. We were deeply honored to have 𝐋𝐓𝐂. 𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐆. 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐙, 𝐈𝐍𝐅 (𝐆𝐒𝐂) 𝐏𝐀 - the Brigade Executive Officer, 103Bde, 1ID, PA, as our Guest of Honor and Speaker.

The ROTC Graduation Ceremony 2026 was attended by the guest, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐀𝐛𝐮𝐛𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐫 𝐋. 𝐋𝐚𝐥𝐚, 𝐑𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦, 𝐌𝐏𝐀 - Chairperson of MIT Criminology Department and also the MIT faculties, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐀𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐝 𝐏. 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐨, 𝐑𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦 - Former MIT ROTCU Corps Commander 2022-2024 and 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐉𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐏. 𝐀𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐚, 𝐑𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦.

This was followed by the Turn-over of Command Ceremony by 𝐂𝐝𝐭/𝐂𝐎𝐋. 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐑𝐚𝐲𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐒. 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧 - 𝟏𝐂𝐋, the outgoing Corps Commander of MIT ROTC Unit 2025-2026, marking the end of his term and paving the way for new leadership.
The order was formally passed to 𝐂𝐝𝐭/𝐂𝐏𝐓. 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐢 𝐃. 𝐆𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚 - 𝟐𝐂𝐋, the incoming Corps Commander of MIT ROTC Unit 2026-2027.

Throughout the program, speakers shared meaningful insights that left a lasting impact on every cadet reminding them that ROTC is not just about drills and formations, but about building character, leadership, and a deep sense of service.

At 1330H, all MIT Cadets and Cadettes organized to their platoons, guidelines by 𝐒𝐠𝐭. 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐁. 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐚, 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬) and Corp Commander & Staffs to accounting troops, reporting from platoon leaders to Corps and Staff. The MIT ROTC unit conducted a ROTC day training focused on ex*****on of manual of arms, drills and Pasa Masid formation.

Their efforts remind us that service isn’t just about duty, it’s about fostering unity and making memorable moments for everyone to cherish.

Attendance was checked again, and the cadets fixed themselves before continuing the practice until 1600H, with final checking before dismissal.

‎On 10 April 2026, The (MIT) Mindanao Institute of Technology, Inc - ROTC Unit successfully conducted it's 6th Day of ROTC Formation for the 2nd semester Academic Year 2025-2026, held at 1602 CDC Kampo Ranao, Marawi City.

‎Administered by 𝐂𝐎𝐋. 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐃. 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐨, 𝐈𝐍𝐅 (𝐆𝐒𝐂) - Commandant of (MIT) Mindanao Institute of Technology, Inc. (MIT ROTCU), headed by 𝐓𝐒𝐠𝐭. 𝐄𝐋𝐌𝐄𝐑 𝐋. 𝐏𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐑 (𝐈𝐍𝐅) 𝐏𝐀 - Admin NCO of MIT ROTCU together with the Graduate Military Assistants (GMA), led by 𝐂𝐃𝐓/𝐂𝐎𝐋. 𝟏𝐂𝐋 𝐌𝐎𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐃 𝐑𝐀𝐘𝐘𝐀𝐍 𝐒. 𝐌𝐀𝐂𝐀𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐍.

After the counting by platoon/company, the cadets continued with a refresher session on drills and marching. The training emphasized the correct ex*****on of commands, as well as coordination and timing during formations, especially when marching off. Officers provided guidance and corrections to help cadets improve their accuracy, posture, and overall military bearing.

Additionally, the officers were given a chance to practice leading a platoon. They were instructed on how to give proper commands, handle formations effectively, and demonstrate leadership in front of their fellow cadets. This exercise was designed to strengthen their confidence, enhance communication skills, and prepare them for future leadership responsibilities within the corps.

During the formation, officers carefully monitored and guided the activities to ensure that all procedures were properly followed. The training was carried out in a structured and organized way, encouraging teamwork, discipline, and ongoing development among the cadets.

Overall, the activity was beneficial, as it improved the cadets’ proficiency in drills and leadership while reinforcing their discipline and sense of responsibility.
