This message from DOLE Secretary Tolentino captures the heart of the JobStart Philippines Programโpreparing young Filipinos not only with technical competencies but also with the interpersonal skills, confidence, and professionalism essential in today's workplace.
Living out this vision, 110 JobStart beneficiaries celebrated the culmination of their Soft/Core Skills Training (SCST) on July 7, 2026, where they showcased their growth through creative performances and video presentations that reflected the knowledge, teamwork, and values they developed throughout the training.
Adding pride to the celebration, outstanding beneficiaries were also recognized for their exceptional performance during the training, particularly in interviews, class participation, leadership, teamwork, and other activities that demonstrated their readiness for the workplace.
The activity was represented by Supervising Labor and Employment Officer Rodrigo O. Roble, Jr., in partnership with PESO Panabo and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The celebration was also joined by the program's valued employer-partnersโAMESCO Drug Corp., Benie by Psalms Coffee, Far East Noble House, Inc. (Gaisano Grand Mall Panabo), Panabo Multipurpose Cooperative, NABO Cafรฉ & Restaurant, TADECO, Inc., Head Sport Philippines Inc., and S&G Philippines International Inc.โwhose collaboration with DOLE opens doors for young jobseekers to gain meaningful employment and practical workplace experience.
More than a culminating activity, the Soft/Core Skills Training served as the foundation that prepared the beneficiaries for their deployment to their respective employer-partners. Armed with workplace values, effective communication, teamwork, adaptability, and professionalism, they are now ready to confidently begin the next phase of their JobStart journey.
