The Philippine Fisheries Development Authority endeavors to achieve these objectives:

Promote the development of the fisheries industry and improve efficiency in the handling and distribution of fish and fishery/aquatic products through the establishment and operation of fish ports, fish markets, and other post-harvest facilities; and. SUAL, Pangasinan (July 30, 2026)—President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday inspected the newly rehabilitated and modernized PFDA-Sual Fish Port (PFDA-SFP), highlighting the national government's continued investment in fisheries infrastructure to strengthen food security, improve post-harvest systems, and support the livelihoods of Filipino fisherfolk.

Implemented by the Department of Agriculture (DA), through the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA), the modernization project has transformed one of Northern Luzon's key fisheries hubs into a modern facility designed to reduce post-harvest losses, improve fish distribution, and strengthen the country's fisheries value chain.

During the inspection, President Marcos, together with Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr. and PFDA Acting General Manager Atty. Glen A. Pangapalan, toured the upgraded facilities and received a briefing on the improvements made to enhance fish handling, cold storage, processing, and overall port operations. The visit underscored the administration's continuing efforts to modernize fisheries infrastructure and strengthen the efficient movement of fishery products from landing sites to markets.

Mula kay Secretary Francisco "Kiko" Tiu Laurel Jr.: Ang bagong mukha ng Sual Fish Port sa Pangasinan ay nagbukas ng mas ligtas at mas magandang oportunidad para sa ating mga mangingisda at mas maunlad na value chain sa lalawigan.

Kasama natin si Pangulong Bongbong Marcos na masayang ininspeksyon ang fish port, gayundin ang mga ipinatayong cold storage at fish processing facility na makakatulong sa pagpapatagal ng kalidad ng mga huli para sa mas mataas na kita ng ating mga mangingisda.

Mula sa huli hanggang sa hapag, ang PFDA Sual Fish Port ay nagsisilbing tulay sa pagprotekta ng kalidad ng produktong pangisdaan. Sa makabagong pasilidad nito, mas napapalakas ang kabuhayan at food security ng mga Pilipino.

Panoorin ang kwento ng Philippine Fisheries Development Authority – Sual Fish Port (PFDA-SFP), isa sa mga pangunahing sentro ng kalakalan ng isda sa Northern Luzon. Sa patuloy na suporta ni Pangulong Ferdinand R.
