Extreme heat can be dangerous. During days 90°F or hotter, your utility cannot shut off your service for nonpayment.

If your service was shut off while these protections were in effect, contact your utility company immediately.

If you cannot resolve the issue, contact the New York State Department of Public Service at 1-800-342-3355.
