This week, the Office of Audit & Control welcomed our newest intern, Mmedo Etor!

Mmedo is a senior at UAlbany studying History with a minor in Legal Studies. Outside of the classroom, he stays involved on campus as Co-Community Service Chair for Brother to Brother and Treasurer of the African Student Association.

Originally from New Rochelle, Mmedo is looking forward to gaining hands-on experience in local government and learning more about the work happening here in Albany.

And when he’s not studying or serving his campus community, you might find him adding to his vinyl collection. 🎶

We’re excited to have Mmedo joining our team this fall and look forward to having him with us through the end of the semester. Welcome to the Office of Audit & Control, Mmedo! 👏

A little time together outside of City Hall!

This week, our team got together to celebrate our August and September birthdays. Working together is about more than what happens in the office. It’s also about getting to know the people you work alongside and making some time to have a little fun.

It’s always good to see people come together for their neighbors.

I stopped by Councilman John Williamson’s First Ward Block Party this weekend, where so many people came together to provide food, school supplies, community resources and a fun day for families in the neighborhood.

Thanks to Councilman Williamson and everyone who showed up, pitched in and helped make it happen!
