Join us at the Hammond Branch Library on Tuesday, June 23 at 3:30 PM for a special Men’s Health Awareness Month presentation presented by our community partners at NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).

This brief and informative session will take place immediately following our Summer Reading Program, making it easy for families to stay a few extra minutes and learn about the importance of mental wellness, stress management, emotional well-being, and available community resources. We encourage the entire family to stick around but in particular our Fathers.

The Indy Branch hosted Natalie Jones from Faust Farms last week. We learned about Hydroponic Farming, the ups & downs of farming, & the type of education that is needed for farming. Come & visit with Elizabeth Liuzza from Liuzza Land on Wednesday, June 24 at 4:00 pm in our Independence Branch. Learn about Farm-to-Table produce & and other fun summer events happening at Liuzza Land. A related activity will follow. All ages are welcome.

This summer our theme is "Plant a Seed, Read." Each week we will have a Special Guest/Community Partner visit the library to share with Adventure Club children & families about the workings of their business. Crafts, STEM activities, & Treats will be provided.

Adventure Club is for ages 6-11 and includes their families of all ages.

Whether you are a seasoned writer or just beginning your creative journey, join us for an inspiring session of our Creative Writers Group on July 14 from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm in our Loranger Branch! This monthly gathering provides a supportive space for writers to explore new techniques, share their work, receive feedback, and connect with fellow storytellers.

Participants are encouraged to bring works in progress, writing prompts, poetry, short stories, or journal entries to discuss and share with the group. Each session focuses on strengthening writing skills, sparking creativity, and helping writers find and refine their unique voice.
