Art activities allow our youngest clients to develop emotional expression, problem-solving skills, social skills, coping strategies, and self-awareness.

Check out these recent creations by kiddos in our Little Tykes program!

Little Tykes is group therapy for children ages 3 - 5 , helping children learn to express and manage emotions so they can function well in home, school and community settings. Many of our kiddos have struggled in childcare or pre-school
settings, and our goal is to help them learn skills for a smooth transition to kindergarten. Wrap-around supports are offered for families.

Supporting infants and young children helps nurture their development and builds a strong foundation for lifelong social-emotional skills.

Simple, everyday moments make a big difference. Talk with them, play, sing, show affection, and include them in daily routines. Encourage curiosity by letting them safely explore their surroundings and try new things.

At Alaska Behavioral Health, we support children as young as 3 and their families to build these healthy relationships, with programs and practices specifically designed for young children, including our Little Tykes therapeutic preschool program, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, and more! Call us at 907-563-1000 to learn more!
