The Crime Victims Fund (CVF) is the primary source of funding for services that support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, trafficking, and other crimes. But the CVF is dangerously low, putting critical, lifesaving services and victims’ lives at risk.

Communities are already feeling the impact. Programs have been forced to reduce services, lay off staff, and, in some cases, close their doors entirely.

Without immediate action, communities will be less safe, and more survivors will be left without the support they need to heal and rebuild their lives.

The CVFSA offers a bipartisan, commonsense solution to stabilize the CVF using non-taxpayer dollars, ensuring continuity of services while Congress works toward a long-term fix.

The House unanimously passed the bill in January. The Senate must do the same. Survivors can’t afford to wait.

Empathy means meeting someone where they are. When someone shares something difficult with us, we don't always need to have the perfect words or a solution. Just being there for them can make all the difference.
