Did you know that less than 40% of college students in the United States feel positively about their mental health? (Healthy Minds, 2024)
Going to college offers the chance to gain more independence, learn, and grow in a way that can help someone explore their identity in the world around them. It's also a time when people are figuring out how to balance academics, work, a social life and more for the first time on their own. This transition can negatively impact anyone’s mental health, especially if they find themselves in a new environment with fewer support systems in place.
Thrive Counseling can be a resource to you or someone you know who might need some additional mental health support while in college. Whether it’s dealing with homesickness, healing from grief and trauma, or wanting ways to cope with anxiety, our counseling services can help you create a plan.
