Beware of Scams Impersonating Scio Township!
Today’s scammers produce very convincing facsimiles of official correspondence. Always look for the .gov extension on any email correspondence purporting to be from the Township. If it doesn’t say .gov, it’s not your government. Scio Township will never ask for payment of any bill by wire transaction. If you have any doubt that the communication you have received is from the Township, call us at 734-369-9400 or stop in and ask about it, 827 N Zeeb Road, 8 am – 4 pm. If someone wants your money, it’s worth your time to make sure it’s legitimate.
