Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County

Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County At CFAAC we know that every ONE of us makes a difference.

The most meaningful gifts are often the ones that arrive long after the giver is gone, shaping a community for generations they will never meet.

CFAAC Director of Planned Giving Thomas Perkins is inviting you to honor that kind of generosity. The Legacy Award recognizes a family or individual whose significant contribution to one or more local nonprofits came through a planned gift, whether a bequest, life insurance, real estate, personal property, or cash made during their lifetime or as part of their estate plan. These are the gifts that quietly secure the future of Anne Arundel County.

Do you know someone who has thought that deeply about their legacy? Nominate them by July 9 at cfaac.org/nominate and join us November 12 at Live Casino & Hotel Maryland for the Celebration of Philanthropy.

CFAAC Board Member Marcie Gibbons is inviting you to honor someone like that.

The Carol Thompson Lifetime Achievement Award, named for CFAAC's late founder and first executive director, recognizes individuals who have advanced philanthropy through long-standing leadership, creative problem-solving, and bringing people and organizations together for the greater good.

Think of someone who has dedicated their life to making Anne Arundel County better. Nominate them by July 9 at cfaac.org/nominate and celebrate with us November 12 at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland.

We are so excited to see the Fund for Anne Arundel at work this summer! Through a wonderful collaboration with the Anne Arundel County Food Bank and The Miracle Temple Inc. Church, a new farmers' market-style food distribution is coming to South County later this summer, bringing fresh, locally sourced produce directly to neighbors who need it most. This is the power of community partnerships in action, and none of it would be possible without the generous donors who give to the Fund for Anne Arundel. Thank you for making moments like this happen.

We'd like to give a big thank you to the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County and its Fund for Anne Arundel! Thanks to the foundation's generosity, we'll be able to pilot a farmers' market-style food distribution in South County starting later this summer! We are excited to bring fresh, locally sourced produce to our neighbors in South County, in partnership with The Miracle Temple Inc. Church.

Our 2025 Annual Report is here, and behind every number is a story worth knowing.

$9.7 million in grantmaking. 856 grants distributed across Anne Arundel County. 44 new funds opened this year. Eleven Field of Interest Funds responding to food insecurity, mental health, the arts, and more. And behind all of it: families who stayed in their homes, classrooms that got the supplies they needed, and nonprofits that ended the year stronger than they started.
