Our fifth graders had an amazing hands-on learning experience at JA BizTown where they became employees, business owners, and community leaders for the day! While there, students worked together to run their own town, putting important economics, government and citizenship skills into action. Our Tigers represented Bardstown Elementary well and we are very proud of the hard work and respect each student gave during the trip.

Please join us in celebrating Michelle Koenig as she begins a well-deserved retirement!

Michelle's last day with BES was Monday, August 31.

Michelle has made a lasting impact on Bardstown Elementary School through the care, energy, and commitment she has brought to our students, families, and staff. She has been an important part of the BES family, and the relationships she has built over the years are a reflection of just how much she has meant to our school community.

While we are excited for Michelle as she begins this next chapter, there is no doubt that our students and staff will miss her tremendously.

Michelle, thank you for the countless ways you have supported and encouraged our Tigers. We are grateful for your service to BES and wish you nothing but happiness, relaxation, and plenty of new adventures in retirement!

Congratulations! You will always be part of the BES family. πŸ’œπŸ’›

BES families, get ready for something sweet!

Bardstown Elementary School is excited to partner with World’s Finest Chocolate for a schoolwide fundraiser hosted by the BES Beta Club. Funds raised will help support the Beta Club State Trip, student activities and rewards, Tiger Parties, and other BES needs.

Important Dates

September 4 β€” Permission forms due
September 8 β€” Initial chocolate boxes begin going home
October 14 β€” Final day to receive an additional box
October 23 β€” All fundraiser payments due

How It Works
Each box contains 40 chocolate items sold for $2 each, for a total of $80 per box. Chocolate that is checked out cannot be returned.

Only one box per household may be outstanding at a time, even if multiple BES siblings are participating. A current box must be fully paid before an additional box can be issued.

Student Prizes
Students can earn prizes based on the number of fully paid boxes credited to them:

1 fully paid box β€” Keychain plus eligibility for special prize drawings, including Pie a Teacher, a Week Dress Down Pass, and Principal for a Day
2 fully paid boxes β€” Cotton Candy from Tays Treats
4 fully paid boxes β€” Trip to Malibu Jack’s with a $10 game card and pizza party

We will also recognize our overall top sellers, with prizes including a Nintendo Switch 2 Choose Your Game Bundle for first place, a 3-in-1 Robot Dog with Wheels Kit for second place, and a LEGO Building Set for third place. Overall, the top-three prizes are limited to one per household.

Please remember that only fully paid boxes count toward prize eligibility.

We are excited to make this a fun and successful fundraiser for our students and school. Thank you for supporting BES and the opportunities we are able to provide our Tigers!

Congratulations to Mrs. Greer's class, this year's BES Egg Drop champions (and our past reigning champions)! Mrs. Greer has been organizing and leading this event at BES for close to 25 years! Talk about tradition…

The Egg Drop has become one of those BES traditions our fourth graders look forward to and that our younger students hear about before they ever reach fourth grade , due to the excitement it generates in the building.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's event another memorable experience for our students, and congratulations to Mrs. Greer's class for defending the title!
