🎉 Celebrating Rosslynn & Ellie! 🎉

A big congratulations to Rosslynn Adcock and Ellie Barnes for successfully completing the Babysitting Basics course through the American Red Cross! ❤️👏

These two students took advantage of an incredible opportunity through the Launch College and Career Lab in our STEM program, facilitated by Mrs. Essex, and earned a valuable certification that gives them skills they can use both now and in the future.

From learning about child care and safety to building confidence and responsibility, they put in the work and finished strong! 🍼👶📚

This is exactly what the Launch College and Career Lab is all about—giving students opportunities to explore careers, build real-world skills, and earn credentials while they’re still in middle school.

Way to go, Roslynn and Ellie! OKHMS is so proud of you!

It's Not Too Late To RSVP
My Old Kentucky Home will be hosting its first-ever 411 Parent Meeting Night. Today’s online landscape has shifted: the threat is no longer the stranger in the white van, but the person behind the screen communicating directly with our youth through gaming apps, social media, and messaging platforms.

We are partnering with SafePassage for a crucial, adults-only presentation to give families the tools and knowledge needed to protect our kids in the digital age.

What We’ll Cover:

Online Grooming & S*xtortion: How predators target and manipulate children online.
S*x Trafficking Red Flags: Understanding what modern threats actually look like.
Practical Safeguards: Device privacy settings, monitoring tools, and effective conversation starters for your home.

📅 Date: 9/29/26
⏰ Time: 5 p.m-7 p.m. (light meal 5-5:30)
📍 Location: Old Kentucky Home Middle School Cafeteria
👥 Audience: Parents, guardians, and caregivers (Adults only due to mature content)

☕ A light meal will be provided!

How to RSVP: Please let us know you're attending by filling out the online form here: https://forms.gle/vMZmrZNRJZbEiCLU8, or by scanning the QR code in the attached flyer.
