As construction on the new Barnstable Fire Station continues to move forward at an exciting pace, our project site camera has officially been relocated to make way for the next phases of construction and continued site progress.

Before changing views, we wanted to share a look back at just how far this project has come. Attached are two time-lapse videos capturing the progress of the project from the original camera location, from the early stages of construction all the way through this week’s activity on site.

You will also see a photo showing the camera’s new location and perspective as we continue documenting the progress of this important project for our department and community.

It has been incredible to watch this project take shape day by day, and we are excited to continue sharing updates as the future home of the Barnstable Fire Department continues to rise.

Thank you to the residents and voters of the Barnstable Fire District for your continued support throughout this project. Your investment is helping build a modern facility that will serve our community for generations to come.

đźš’BARNSTABLE HIGH SCHOOL INTERNSđźš’

Yesterday marked the final day at the firehouse for our three Barnstable High School interns who have spent the past school year learning alongside the members of the Barnstable Fire Department.

We would like to thank each of them for their hard work, positive attitudes, and dedication throughout the year. It has been a pleasure having them with us and watching them gain firsthand experience in the fire service.

We also want to wish them the very best in all of their future endeavors. We hope that this opportunity provided a meaningful glimpse into the fire service and perhaps sparked an interest in our noble profession.

A special thank you goes out to the members of the Barnstable Fire Department who took the time each day to mentor, teach, and share their knowledge and skills with our interns. From hands-on training to showing them the day-to-day responsibilities of the fire service, your efforts helped make this program a valuable experience.

Thank you again to our interns for being part of our department this year, and we wish you continued success in the future!

đźš’TRAINING!!đźš’
This week, all four groups of Barnstable Fire Department participated in intensive roof operations training in partnership with the Barnstable County Government Cape Cod Center for Public Safety Training Fire Program Division.

Using Barnstable County’s portable roof prop, our firefighters spent the week sharpening critical skills in roof ventilation and coordinated roof operations, essential tactics used during structure fires to improve conditions inside a building, increase firefighter safety, and support effective fireground operations.

Ongoing training is one of the most important investments we can make as a fire department. Firefighting is a constantly evolving profession, and regular hands-on training ensures our members remain prepared, proficient, and ready to respond when our community needs us most.

We are fortunate to have access to high-quality mobile training props like this one through Barnstable County. These resources allow us to bring realistic, scenario-based training directly to our department and provide valuable opportunities for our members to build and maintain these perishable skills.

A sincere thank you to the Barnstable County Cape Cod Center for Public Safety Training for their continued partnership and commitment to firefighter training across Cape Cod.

Training today for a safer tomorrow.

đźš’ New Barnstable Fire Station Construction Update đźš’
Exciting progress continues this week at the site of the new Barnstable Fire Station as this much-needed project keeps moving forward.

The structural steel work is now wrapping up, marking a major milestone in the construction process. Concrete has been successfully poured on both the first and second floors, as well as in the training mezzanine area. In the basement, crews continue making progress with underground plumbing and electrical work, with hopes of pouring the basement concrete next week.

Looking ahead, the next phases of construction include completion of the two retaining walls, continued site leveling, and the start of exterior wall construction. As these elements begin to take shape, the station will quickly begin to look more and more like the finished facility our district has envisioned.

We want to sincerely thank the residents of the Barnstable Fire District for your continued patience, support, and enthusiasm throughout this process. Your investment in this project is helping build a state-of-the-art fire station that will serve our community for generations to come.

We’re excited to continue sharing these updates as we move closer to completion.

đźš’ New Barnstable Fire Station Project Update đźš’

Exciting progress continues on the new Barnstable Fire Station, and for the first time, we’re able to share some incredible interior views of the building taking shape.

These latest photos provide a first look inside the new station, including views from the training mezzanine overlooking the apparatus bays and a look at the impressive roof structure now in place. Seeing these spaces come together really highlights the scale and functionality of what will soon become a modern, efficient facility designed to serve the Barnstable Fire District for generations to come.

Over the next several weeks, construction crews will continue moving the project forward with the pouring of concrete on both the first and second floors, along with the start of significant mechanical systems work throughout the building.

This project is an important investment in the safety of our firefighters and the community we serve, and none of this progress would be possible without the continued support of the Barnstable Fire District voters.

We want to sincerely thank our residents for your trust, patience, and ongoing commitment to this project. Your support is helping us build a station that will enhance emergency response capabilities, improve firefighter safety, and better serve Barnstable well into the future.

We look forward to continuing to share updates as construction progresses!
