August has been a busy month for the BRCAC. We had the honor of hosting Mayor - President Sid Edwards of Baton Rouge for a tour of the BRCAC. We are very appreciative of the support we have received from the Mayor since taking office. The BRCAC participated in a training with CARTA, training future law enforcement cadets. We trained around 30 cadets about the importance of CAC’s, minimal facts, human trafficking, and the forensic interview process with the BRCAC. This was an hour long presentation and after multiple questions were answered about therapy, trauma informed care, and how to get involved with the BRCAC.
