It was a pleasure to join fellow sportsmen, landowners, and wildlife enthusiasts at the Whitetails of Louisiana Fall Expo this weekend in Marksville.

Louisiana’s deer industry plays an important role in conservation, wildlife management, and our rural economy. Thank you to Whitetails of Louisiana for the invitation and for bringing together so many who are passionate about the future of our state’s outdoors.

It was an honor to join the Louisiana Beekeepers Association for its annual convention in Pineville this weekend. As a fellow beekeeper, I have a deep appreciation for the dedication and care that goes into maintaining healthy hives. Bees play an essential role in Louisiana agriculture, forestry, and our environment, and I am grateful for the many beekeepers who work every day to support these important pollinators. 🐝

Yesterday, I joined the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation Board of Directors to share an update on the work being done at the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry.

I always appreciate the chance to visit with this group of friends and agricultural leaders, discuss the issues facing our industry, and continue working together to support Louisiana agriculture and forestry. Thank you for your continued partnership.

I appreciated the opportunity to share updates from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry and discuss issues important to our state’s forestry sector. Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Honey Brake and tour this remarkable property. The natural beauty of Louisiana is on full display here—from the waterways and wetlands to the wildlife and working landscapes that make our state so unique.

What impressed me most was the commitment to conservation. Thoughtful stewardship of the land helps protect wildlife habitat, improve water quality, and preserve these natural resources for future generations. It’s a great example of how conservation and outdoor recreation can work hand in hand.

Thank you to Andy Brister, Drew Keeth and the Honey Brake team for the hospitality and for showcasing the important role conservation plays in Louisiana’s rich outdoor heritage.

Susan and I enjoyed spending the evening with friends at the 39th Annual Florida Parishes S***t Club Banquet. Events like this are a great reminder of the strong sense of community, fellowship, and shared traditions that make Louisiana so special. The latest episode of Crawfish Tales takes us to the LRA Showcase, where Certified Louisiana members from across the state came together to share their products, flavors and Louisiana pride. With chefs, restaurants and food industry professionals all under one roof, the Showcase was a great opportunity for our Certified Louisiana businesses to make connections and put their products in front of the people who help bring Louisiana flavors to tables across the state and beyond.
