Here is a brief overview of the lawsuit result and a few links for more information.

The Vermont Department for Children and Families (DCF) settled lawsuits with two couples who claimed their foster care licenses were revoked or denied due to concerns over their support for LGBTQ+ children. The settlement allows the couples to retain their licenses and includes new guidance stating that foster parents' personal beliefs will not be considered in the licensing process, but LGBTQ+ children will not be placed in unsupportive homes.
