When a fractured tooth cannot be saved, a dental bridge may be an alternative to another implant.
In this case, the patient already had several restorations and did not want another implant. We removed two existing crowns, extracted the non-restorable tooth, refined the preparations, and created a temporary three-unit bridge for the treatment phase.
Over the following weeks, we carefully conditioned the gum tissue to develop a more natural emergence profile. The final custom dental bridge was shade-matched to the neighboring crown and implant crown, with pink porcelain added to blend with the surrounding tissue.
The goal was not simply to replace a tooth. It was to create a natural-looking restoration that helped the patient feel confident again.
Every case is different. A clinical examination and imaging are needed to determine whether a dental bridge, implant, or another treatment is appropriate.
