Not only will you be getting some AMAZING food (why, yes there will be vegan and vegetarian options) BUT you will also be supporting grassroots candidates as we fight to take back local and federal government!

The Trump administration is pushing a federal school voucher scheme that would drain public school budgets across the country. 🏫

School vouchers sound reasonable until you follow the money. Every dollar that leaves the public school budget to subsidize private education is a dollar that doesn't pay for a teacher, a counselor, a textbook, or a program.

I spent over twenty years teaching in this community. Our public schools serve every child: every background, every ability, every zip code. They don't get to turn anyone away. Voucher schemes drain their budgets while serving a fraction of the kids who need support.

This isn't about being anti-private school. Parents can make their own choices. But public dollars belong in public schools. That's the deal.

Washington wants to defund our classrooms. I will stand up for public schools in Albany every single day. 📚
