I always give them the option.. “You can share your toy with friends when you’re done playing with it or we can put it away in your bag so it’s safe for you to bring home later. It works just about every time. Offering a choice makes them feel like they’re in control and that’s all they really want.

We’re inclined to expect progress to move quickly and steadily but that’s not how it works. Whether it be potty training or developing social skills, every child learns at their own pace and in their own way.

🚓🚒🚜🚁 The Boxford Police Department is excited to announce our 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck Event! 🚁🚜🚒🚓

Join us on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Masconomet Regional High School for a fun-filled day the whole family will enjoy! Come explore an incredible lineup of trucks, emergency vehicles, heavy equipment, helicopters, and more, all while meeting the amazing people who serve our communities every day.

As the event gets closer, we’ll be sharing exciting updates about the trucks, specialty equipment, helicopters, and special guests that will be joining us!

This event is all about bringing our community together, creating smiles, making memories, and giving kids (and adults!) the chance to get up close with some truly awesome vehicles. We can’t wait to see everyone there! 💙🚓🚒🚑
