Hi! I’m Jenni Goodenough, and I’m excited to be returning to Boone County Schools as a special education teacher at Camp Ernst Middle School! This will be my 19th year teaching, and I truly love helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and achieve success both in and out of the classroom.

When I’m not at school, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband, our two children, and our two pups. I enjoy traveling, reading and a good cup of coffee!

I’m incredibly grateful to be joining the Camp Ernst community and can’t wait to meet everyone!

Hello! My name is Lexie Barth, and I’m beyond excited to start my first year teaching in 7th grade English here at CEMS!📚 This one is extra special to me, as I’m actually a Camp Ernst alum. I graduated EKU with a Bachelors in Public Relations, and am currently in the process of attaining my Masters in Teaching from the University of the Cumberlands.

Outside of the classroom, I spend a lot of time with friends and family, as well as reading and catching up with a show or two (or three!).🎥 If I’m not in town, I’m likely traveling somewhere! Michigan, New York, Wyoming, Nashville, and London, England are a few of my favorite travel destinations so far. Oh, and did I mention I’m a Disney fan?🪄 I’m looking forward to an amazing year ahead as a Trailblazer. It’s going to be a great one!

Hi. My name is Sarah Walton. I am teaching math and social studies this year in the 7th grade. This will be my 11th year teaching and 7th year in Boone County.
I am a wife and mom and they take up most my free time. My daughter Abigail (Abi for short) is going into 2nd grade this year.

Hello! I'm Heather Moore, and I'm excited to serve as the Assistant Principal at Camp Ernst Middle School. This marks my 22nd year in education, and I am especially grateful that the past 18 years have been spent as part of the Camp Ernst family. During that time, I have had the privilege of teaching and building meaningful relationships with our students, staff, and families. Camp Ernst is a special place, and I am honored to continue serving this incredible school community in my new role. I can't wait for another great year!

Hi. I am Marsha Bowling. I am excited to join the staff at CEMS. This will be my 18th year of teaching for Boone County Schools. My pride and joy is seeing my students learn and grow. Outside of school, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. My husband and I have three kids. I love sports, traveling, and exercising. Looking forward to a great school year!
