We were happy to help cool everyone off after band camp. And what an amazing photo they captured of the fun! We’re glad we could be part of a great week for the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park Band Program.

After a long, hard week of rehearsals, the Canton Fire Department showed up to cool off our hardworking kids in the best way possible!

Huge shout-out and thank you to Deputy Chief Jaime Strassner and Nick Lombardi for making it rain on the band, and to our wonderful community and neighbors for your grace with all the cheers, shrieks, and excitement echoing through the neighborhood!

This was easily the most fun we’ve had in a long time. Thank you, Canton FD, for supporting our students and making this week unforgettable! 🙌✨

Training doesn’t stop when the temperature rises. Today, our crews put on their turnout gear and worked through extrication training. Hands on training like this keeps our firefighters prepared to safely and effectively respond when seconds count.

Members of the CFD and CPD came together on the softball field last night!

It was a great night of camaraderie and fun between the fire and police departments. CPD may have technically come out on top, but we'll let them enjoy that one for now.

It was great to spend time together off the clock and enjoy some friendly competition. Thanks to everyone who came out and made it a great night!

Check out Spray Day 2026 from the Canton Fire Department's point of view! Our truck gave us a bird's eye view of all the fun as families cooled off below. From the top, it was easy to see the smiles, laughter, and just how much water was flowing.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made this year's Spray Day another unforgettable event. We can't wait to do it again!

Our crews had a great time visiting the Goddard School for a fun morning of fire safety education! Students learned what firefighters do and got to see the trucks up close.

A few important fire safety tips for kids:

- If you hear a smoke alarm, get out fast and stay outside.
- Know two ways out of every room.
- Never hide from firefighters. They're there to help.
- If there's an emergency, always call 9-1-1.

Over the past couple of weeks, we've seen an increase in the number of accidents involving e-bikes. As these devices become more popular, it's important for riders to understand the risks and take steps to stay safe.

Before you ride, remember to:

-Wear a fitted helmet
-Follow all traffic laws and signals
-Ride at a safe speed and be aware of your surroundings
-Use lights and reflective gear when riding in low-light conditions

A fun ride can quickly become dangerous when safety is overlooked. Slow down, stay alert, and help keep yourself and others safe.
