Help us locate Mariah Marie Cox, age 24, who walked away from a court-ordered inpatient treatment facility in Sioux City on the night of July 24, 2026.

Cox was transferred from the Linn County Correctional Center for treatment and is currently awaiting trial for revocation of probation.

UPDATE: Dustin Lacey was apprehended by the Linn County Sheriff's Office at 1:08 p.m. today.

Previous Post:

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Dustin Lacey, 42, of Anamosa, who is wanted on an active warrant for 3rd-Degree Burglary and is now facing additional charges following a pursuit last night.

What Happened:
9:33 PM (July 7): Deputies spotted Lacey in the area of Waubeek Rd and Rowley Rd. He fled in a Gold Cadillac Escalade, heading east on Waubeek Rd. Due to heavy gravel dust, deputies lost sight of the vehicle.

11:10 PM (July 7): A motorist reported a rollover crash at the intersection of Boy Scouts Road and Game Club Road. The vehicle was the same Gold Cadillac Escalade.

It is believed Lacey lost control, rolled the vehicle, and managed to flee the scene on foot before law enforcement arrived. Drones and K9s searched the area, but he was not located.

There is currently no active threat to the public, but Lacey remains at large, and eluding/traffic charges are pending.

🚨 SUSPECT SOUGHT: ATTEMPTED MURDER INVESTIGATION 🚨
The Iowa City Police Department and Cedar Rapids Police Department are seeking the public’s help in locating a 17-year-old suspect in connection with the shooting that occurred in downtown Iowa City on Sunday, April 19, 2026.
While the incident took place near the University of Iowa campus, investigators believe the suspect is from the Cedar Rapids area and may be located there now. An arrest warrant has been issued for five counts of Attempted Murder.
How You Can Help
If you have any information regarding the suspect's whereabouts, or if you have video footage or photos from the Pedestrian Mall during the early morning hours of April 19, please come forward. Even a small detail could be the missing piece of the puzzle.
