Nonprofit organization that seeks to conserve our land & provide public environmental education. The trails are open 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. until sunset.

The Clinton Community Nature Center is located in the heart of Clinton, Mississippi. The Nature Center does not receive public funding and relies on Supporters, Volunteers, Memberships, and Fundraisers. It features miles of beautiful, shaded walking trails, Play Forest, Splashing Frog Water Feature, amphitheater, native plants, wildlife, and Price Hall. Located on 617 Dunton Road, the Nature Center is a magical place for all ages. Come Walk Your Trails at the Clinton Community Nature Center!

We had so much fun (and just the right amount of fright) at Pumpkin Glow & Haunted Trails this past weekend!
If you missed out this year, start planning early for next October…the forest has a long memory, and the goblins will be waiting!

Tonight is the last night to walk our Haunted Trail, and trust us, it's our best year yet! Come experience the thrill for yourself! 7pm - 11pm.

Sassy Soda Co. will be serving up sweet drinks in the parking lot.

It’s Pumpkin Glow time, and we need you! 🎃

Come help us bring the magic to life (tomorrow 10/22 from 10am–2pm) & carve a pumpkin for the trails! We’ll have pumpkins cleaned and ready for your masterpiece.

Then, come experience the magic for yourself on the beautiful Jack-O’-lantern lined trail (plus trunk or treating & more) on Friday (10/23) from 5pm-8pm! 👀

👻 Stick around for our Haunted Trail (additional fee, 10/23 & 10/24). Kids - get ready for the first 30 minutes to scare us during our Reverse Scare 8:00 pm - 8:30pm!

Join us for Nature Nuts at 9:30 am on the third Monday of every month! Tailored for ages 2-6, every session features a themed story, craft or activity, and time outdoors!

Our Fall Native Plant Presale is happening now through October 19th!
Browse our inventory, secure your plants, and pick them up the week of October 26th (we’ll notify you of specific dates/times the week prior). Anything left over will be available at our in-person sale on November 7th!

Join us on Friday, October 16th, at 6pm for a presentation with Bryan Fedrick on the essential role of prescribed burning in healthy ecosystems.

Stay afterwards for a hotdog and to roast marshmallows for s’mores (the cookout will happen if we get a minimum of 10 people), and sign up for a call list to join CCNC for a live prescribed fire when conditions are right!

CCNC at Science Fest!
We had a blast at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science teaching visitors all about Mississippi’s state bird, the northern mockingbird!
Guests learned about the unique architecture of mockingbird nests, which feature a distinct two-layer design: a sturdy outer framework of coarse twigs, and a soft, protective inner bed neatly lined with fine roots, grass, and moss.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to build a nest with us!
