Happy Labor Day!

As we celebrate all the hardworking Americans this year, we would like to honor one of our staff members, Fred Points, who has been with us for the past 26 years.

Fred has dedicated his entire career to serving others. His wisdom, charisma, trustworthiness, and many other qualities make him an invaluable asset to not only JFS but also to the Central Ohio community.

We are incredibly grateful for everything he has done and continues to do!

Thank you, Fred, for being a member of our JFS family. 💙

Monday morning was a convening hosted by Joyce Beatty, State Representatives, the Mayor Andrew J. Ginther, stakeholders, housing professionals and non-profit leaders about the 21st Century Road to Housing Act championed by US Congresswoman Joyce Beatty.

Additionally, the panel discussion with David Harrison, Carlie J. Boos, Amy Rosenthal, Jeffrey Woda, and Amy (Wright) Riegel highlighted both the opportunities and strengths of the legislation and provided vital feedback from a community perspective.

Following the panel, we celebrated the groundbreaking of Opportunity Pointe - affordable housing- at Columbus State Community College designed to remove non-academic barriers for students seeking to pursue a college degree while at the same time providing much needed housing for the residents of our city.

Jewish Family Services will be available to provide onsite services that connect individuals to all our offerings.

Thank you to Columbus State Community College, Woda Cooper Companies, Inc., Affordable Housing Alliance of Central Ohio and Coalition On Homelessness and Housing in Ohio
