Youthful drivers present elevated roadway risks due to limited experience. Between 2024–2025, more than 158,000 crashes involved drivers ages 15–24, with nearly two‑thirds attributed to the youthful driver. These incidents resulted in approximately 400 fatalities and over 42,000 injuries.

During a morning rest area check, Trooper Kronander discovered an abandoned puppy inside a crate along I-71 in Medina County. Thanks to his quick action and compassion, the puppy was safely brought to the Medina Post and later transported to the Medina County SPCA.
