The residents of Carriage Inn Conroe had a wonderful time attending Players Theatre Company and the Penguin Project production of Annie Jr.!

This heartwarming production was filled with energy, talent, laughter, and inspiration. The Penguin Project is a truly special organization where every character is brought to life by artists with disabilities, paired alongside dedicated peer mentors who support, encourage, and celebrate them every step of the way.

Our residents loved seeing the joy and confidence shining from the stage as these talented young performers brought the beloved story of Annie to life. It was a beautiful reminder that theater has the power to bring people together, build confidence, and create unforgettable memories for everyone involved.

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this production possible and for sharing such an uplifting experience with our residents!

The groove was alive at our Carriage Inn Conroe 60’s Themed Community Dance! Residents, families, and guests had an amazing afternoon dancing, singing along, and celebrating together with plenty of peace, love, and good vibes. ✌️🎶

A huge thank you to Rick Estrada for providing fantastic entertainment and keeping the dance floor full all afternoon long!

One of the most special moments of the event was when Judy F., President of the Carriage Inn Conroe Resident Council, presented Jean C., President of the Board, and Cindy S., Managing Director, of Players Theatre Company with a check from this year’s Car Show Fundraiser. Thanks to the incredible support from our residents, families, community partners, vendors, and guests, the fundraiser raised over $1,200 in support of the theater company!

We are so proud to support local arts in our community and thankful to everyone who helped make both events such a success.

Today, the residents and staff of Carriage Inn Conroe came together for a special Memorial Day Lunch as we honored and remembered the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

A heartfelt thank you to our very own Carriage Inn Sassy Songsters for their wonderful performance of patriotic music that filled the room with pride and remembrance.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Foy, Commander of the local VFW, for sharing a meaningful Memorial Day speech and helping us reflect on the true purpose of this important day.

Thank you to all who joined us as we celebrated, remembered, and honored our nation’s heroes.

Honoring Those Who Gave Everything

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage and dedication protect the freedoms we cherish every day.

At Cardinal Bay, we are proud to recognize the veterans, families, and loved ones in our communities who carry these stories and legacies forward. Today, we reflect with gratitude, remembrance, and respect for those who served and never returned home.

May we all take a moment to honor their sacrifice and the freedoms they secured for future generations.

The Carriage Inn Conroe residents were honored to host a very special “Day of Strength and Faith” featuring inspirational guests Lucas Strong and Marcus Thompson.

Residents watched in amazement as Lucas Strong demonstrated incredible feats of strength before sharing his powerful testimony of faith, perseverance, and purpose. His message encouraged everyone in attendance to find strength not only in the body, but also in the spirit.

Marcus Thompson also shared his deeply moving story of encountering faith while recovering from a life-changing accident that left him paralyzed just as he was building a promising football career. His honesty, courage, and positive outlook touched the hearts of everyone in the room and served as a reminder that hope can still shine through even the most difficult moments.

One of the sweetest surprises of the day was discovering a special personal connection within our Carriage Inn family. Ms. Pearl C., one of our residents’ private healthcare providers, discovered that she is Marcus wife’s aunt. It truly made the event feel even more meaningful and reminded everyone just how small and connected the world can be.

We are so thankful to both Lucas and Marcus for spending time with our residents and sharing messages of encouragement, resilience, and faith with our community.

Recognizing National Arthritis Awareness Month

May is National Arthritis Awareness Month, a time to bring attention to a condition that affects nearly 60 million Americans and is the leading cause of disability in the United States.

At Cardinal Bay, we understand how joint health and mobility impact daily life—especially as we age. That’s why our communities focus on wellness, movement, and supportive environments that help residents stay active, comfortable, and engaged.

This month, we encourage everyone to learn more about arthritis, support loved ones who may be living with it, and take small steps toward better joint health—whether that’s gentle exercise, staying active, or simply having meaningful conversations about living well.

Together, we can raise awareness and support healthier, more active lives.

The Carriage Inn Conroe residents recently enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Blaffer Art Museum at the University of Houston to experience the end-of-the-year student showcase.

Residents had a fantastic time exploring the wide variety of artwork on display and seeing the creativity and talent of the university students. From thought-provoking pieces to colorful and imaginative creations, the exhibit sparked plenty of conversation and appreciation throughout the visit.

Opportunities like these allow our residents to stay connected with the local community while continuing to experience new ideas, art, and culture. Thank you to the students and staff who helped make the visit such an enjoyable experience.
