We had the privilege of supporting a dedicated group of staff members through a workplace English as a Second Language (ESL) program at The Culpeper . Over the course of the 10 week session, these hardworking women showed incredible determination, confidence, and growth as they strengthened their English skills and applied them in their daily work.

This celebration marks more than the end of the session, it represents perseverance, new opportunities, and the power of learning together. A special thank you to Elizabeth Price, their tutor, who visited twice each week to encourage and guide them every step of the way. We are so proud of all they accomplished and excited for what comes next.

To every person who donated, shared a post, cheered us on, commented, volunteered, texted a friend, showed up to a live, laughed with us through the bloopers, or simply believed in what we do… thank you. Truly.

The support we felt during Give Local Piedmont was overwhelming in the best possible way. Adult literacy changes lives, but this week was also a reminder that community does too. Because of you, more adults in our community will have the opportunity to learn English, grow in confidence, support their families, pursue citizenship, and build brighter futures.

We do not take a single donation, message, or moment of support for granted. Thank you for showing up for our learners so wholeheartedly. Thank you for believing in the power of literacy. And thank you for reminding us that this community is filled with incredibly generous, compassionate people.

Khalil’s boy band era has officially arrived and yes, he is now booking local events. Wig and backup singers included. For the third Golden Ticket challenge from , we rewrote I Want It That Way into a passionate anthem about supporting literacy locally.
