Mesa Quantum, located in Boulder, Colorado, is developing the world's smallest atomic clocks. Sristy Agarwal, Co-Founder and CEO for Mesa Quantum Systems, and her team's technology features a physics package smaller than a coffee bean, designed for integration into modern infrastructure to improve computation, autonomous navigation, and communication.

Within Colorado's quantum ecosystem Dr. Rozhin Eskandarpour is in Colorado Quantum Incubator's member community and leads Resilient Entanglement, the world's first woman-owned quantum smart grid company, receiving U.S. Department of Energy backing. This work focuses on quantum energy management to predict load interruptions more accurately, aiming for lower energy prices and fewer blackouts.

The Colorado Tourism Office recently reported a record-breaking $29.2 Billion economic impact for the state in 2025! In addition, we welcomed 96.8 million visitors who came to experience our world-class outdoor recreation, breathtaking landscapes, and exciting cities.

Here is how those visits supported our communities:
•187,860 jobs directly supported statewide to serve our visitors.
•$1.91 billion generated in state and local tax revenues.
•Denver and the metro area drove $14.2 billion in travel spending.
•Overnight visitors stayed an average of 3.3 nights, enjoying outdoor, entertainment, cultural, and sporting activities.

Tourism continues to be a great economic driver, and the Colorado Tourism Office is dedicated to helping local communities adapt so we can continue to inspire the world to explore Colorado responsibly and respectfully. 💚

The Colorado Tourism Office announced on Tuesday that tourism contributed a record $29.2 billion to the Colorado economy last year.

Governor Jared Polis, the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), and Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) announced 18 recipients of voter-approved Proposition 123 Land Banking funds. Land Banking funds support Colorado communities as they acquire new land for rental and ownership of affordable housing. This funding will support an estimated 1,455 units on 18 parcels of land across Colorado from the Front Range to the Western Slope. Collectively, the proposed housing will support a variety of housing needs, including families, live-work spaces for artists, older adults, veterans, and a partnership with a high school job training program, Careers to Construction Colorado. Commemorating Colorado’s 150th anniversary of statehood is more than a tribute to our past—it is an active investment in our economic future.

In 2025, OEDIT’s Venture Capital Authority (VCA) facilitated 29 total investments into 26 unique companies, directly supporting 365 jobs while supporting business growth in high-impact areas: 48% of investment capital went to businesses in rural areas and 28% to Urban Enterprise Zones to support economic growth in areas with high unemployment rates, low per capita income or slow population growth.

By supporting a diverse portfolio of companies across our state we continue to foster a sustainable and innovative economy for all Coloradans.

Colorado’s climate-tech scene is growing! 🏔️ Longmont-based Biota Inc. has secured a $3 million seed round to scale their game-changing environmental diagnostic platform. Biota is developing rapid testing tools for PFAS ("forever chemicals"), bridging the gap with actionable data to streamline critical cleanups and environmental monitoring.

The company’s Roadmap includes scaling operations and advancing high-speed PFAS diagnostics, expanding their platform to detect other toxic contaminants, like microplastics. Backed by state grants and private investment, Biota is proving why Colorado is a powerhouse for environmental innovation! 🚀
