Join us on Wednesday, June 24th from 6-8 PM for a fun Outdoor Family Concert Event as part of our America250 Celebration! 🎶🎤 Mayor Phil Dague will kick off the night with a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence! 🇺🇸 Musical husband-and-wife team, The Villones, will take us through an American Roots Duets journey celebrating the American Spirit through live music! 🎵👏

🍦 Stay cool by purchasing from Handel's of Downingtown who will be on site during the event!

☀️ Bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs and join us on the grass area next to the library. There will also be a kid zone with yard games!

Then welcome to your new favorite night out! 📖🤫 Our Silent Book Club is a low-stress meetup for readers in their mid-twenties and thirties who want to enjoy the company of fellow book lovers without the pressure of a traditional book club.

Bring your own book, e-reader, or audiobook and we'll provide the cozy atmosphere, plus snacks & drinks to fuel your reading session!🍪🥤

📚 Monday, June 22nd Schedule:
✨ 5-5:30 PM: Arrive, grab a drink or snack, and optionally share what you are reading with others.
✨ 5:30-6:30 PM: One full hour of quiet, uninterrupted reading time.
✨ 6:30-7 PM: Keep reading, head home, or hang out and chat with new friends.

Who’s ready for an Outdoor Baby Rave Party at the library!?! 🪩🎉☀️ Join us tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17th from 9:30-10:30. Drop-in anytime during that hour! We will be listening to popular children’s music with a techno twist! For ages 0-2.5, older siblings are welcome but this program is primarily for babies/toddlers. No registration required!

Delta Kappa Gamma is an international professional society for women educators, and our local chapter consistently supports our educational programs. We encourage kids (and adults) of all ages to come join us for our summer reading program season! We have a packed summer schedule, and DKG helps us make that happen!

Our Virtual Library Cat, DO Dotty, wants you to go out on a limb and try something new in your reading journey this summer! 📚😺☀️

Do you always read romance? Try a cozy mystery instead! 🕵️📖 Do you always read thrillers? Try a biography from our new release shelf! 🤔📖 Dotty challenges you to venture out of your comfort zone this summer and find your new favorite genre!

A great way to do this is through our Teen & Adult Unearth A Story Summer Reading Program! Stop by the library to register and grab a bingo sheet. Each sheet is filled with exciting ways to read and genres to explore! For every bingo sheet you complete this summer, you’ll earn a raffle ticket! 🎟️
