✨🎸 Celebrate 250 years of America with a morning of Rock & Roll at the library! ✨🎸

Join us for Rockin' Thru the Revolution on Saturday, June 13th at 10:30 AM! A FUN, fast-paced music and storytelling outdoor drop-in program for elementary age kids and their families. Teacher and local musician Damien Drago will bring the American Revolution to life - we'll laugh, learn, and ROCK our way through the founding of our nation! 😎🎶

This is an OUTDOOR program, weather permitting. In the case of inclement weather, the rain date will be Saturday, June 20th at 10:30am.

What a night! 🎉👜💛 Our 4th Annual Designer Bag Bingo fundraiser earlier this month was an absolute BLAST! From the exciting “BINGO!” calls to the fabulous designer bags, raffle baskets, and door prizes, the room was filled with laughter, fun, and community spirit all night long! 📚✨

Thanks to YOUR support, we raised funds to help the library continue providing amazing programs, resources, and services for our community. We are so grateful to everyone who attended, our incredible sponsors, and our hardworking committee who made this event such a huge success! 🙌

🥨 FREE soft pretzels donated by Wawa available from 11:30 AM–1 PM (or while supplies last)
📖 Summer Reading sign-ups for ALL ages -- Preschool through Adult!!

Stop by anytime from 9:30 AM–4 PM to join the fun and kick off an amazing summer of reading, discovery, and adventure! We will be outside on the lawn, weather permitting. 🌟

As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, join The Local History Geek, Jim Segrave-Daly, at the library on Wednesday, June 10th for a lively discussion about how Philadelphia celebrated the Bicentennial. Stop by the library to check out our bell for Bells Across Chesco! 🔔 Our Middle School Library Club did an incredible job designing and making it.

🔔Bells Across Chesco!

During the 18th century, Downingtown was known as Milltown, home of a water corn mill offering milling services for local farmers and the frontier homesteaders to the west. The Downingtown Library bell was carefully painted like water and decorated with corn and ducks, celebrating the past and including their beloved library duck theme!
