"You are the only one who knows what you're thinking." 🐾

At Two by Two, every staff meeting kicks off with a "Mission Moment" from one of our favorite books, Dogs Get It. This month, as we dive into big strategic planning, this page hit home.

Humans tend to complicate things, but dogs keep it simple: if you want something, you have to make it clear. We’re bringing that exact transparency into our planning sessions this week so we can confidently map out the next big chapters for character education.

Here’s to speaking our minds, sharing our big ideas out loud, and building a brighter future together. 🚀

We were thrilled to join the Kwik Stop Dubuque team — and Karl! — for our Kwik Care check presentation today. During the month of April, spare change dropped into Kwik Care canisters at local Kwik Stop and Dairy Queen locations added up to make a real difference for kids in our community.

We are so grateful to Kwik Stop and Dairy Queen for their generous support of Two by Two and for 20+ years of investing in local nonprofits through the Kwik Care program. Thank you! 🙌

Two by Two recently had the opportunity to get a sneak peek of The Wanderwood Gardens, and we left feeling inspired! 🌿✨

What a beautiful and imaginative space being created right here in Dubuque to encourage outdoor play, curiosity, creativity, and a love and respect for all living things. It’s exciting to see initiatives like this taking root in our community!

We can’t wait to watch The Wanderwood Gardens continue to grow and see all the wonderful things that come from this exciting community vision!

“My son Lane completed the Kindhearted Kids Program two months ago, and Sparky is still with him—morning and night! Before Kindhearted Kids, he had one favorite stuffed animal he slept with every night… but that one has officially been replaced. He absolutely loves his pet Sparky!

Since Sparky is now his main squeeze, Lane brought him along to a sleepover at his cousin’s house. Rhett, who is one grade older, went through Kindhearted Kids last year at a different school. When Lane pulled out Sparky, Rhett was so excited and ran to grab his own Sparky! What are the chances, with the number of different Kindhearted Kids pets, that they ended up with the same one!

It was so exciting to see them both with their Sparkys—same program, different schools, different years—and still loving them just as much!”
