The Summer Reading Program encourages children to read for pleasure all summer long, earning medals and power patches for their hard work. The program runs from June through August and is open to children of all ages.

· Babies & Toddlers — Join 1000 Books Before Kindergarten and track books read aloud.

· Preschoolers — Participate as read-to-me readers and earn credit for shared reading.

· Grades K–5 — Mark your calendar for each day you read 30+ minutes.

· Teens (Grades 6–12) — Complete activities on your Summer BINGO card.

Adults can join the fun too! From June 1, register at Chester County Library or online at bit.ly/asrp-reg, pick up or print your bingo card, and track your summer reading and activities. Every completed square earns a raffle ticket, with extra chances for BINGO and for finishing the whole card. Return your card August 9–30. Winners will be selected on August 31.

After careful review, we will be ending our Elmwood Park Zoo Museum Pass memberships due to new requirements that conflict with our privacy policy.

Chester County Library passes: usable through June 30 (reserved by May 29). Henrietta Hankin Branch passes: usable through August 31 (reserved by July 31).

We know how much families love this pass. To help fill the gap, we’re expanding memberships to places like the Brandywine Zoo and the Please Touch Museum, with more cultural partners coming soon. See all other Museum Pass options at https://chescolibraries.org/using-the-library/museum-passes/.

🔔Bells Across Chesco! Featuring Downingtown Library.

🔔Bells Across Chesco!

During the 18th century, Downingtown was known as Milltown, home of a water corn mill offering milling services for local farmers and the frontier homesteaders to the west. The Downingtown Library bell was carefully painted like water and decorated with corn and ducks, celebrating the past and including their beloved library duck theme!
