We're ready to begin classes on Tuesday, September 8!

Open lab on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are times for students to work with our math and English teachers outside of instructional hours.

Tutoring and testing are in the evenings Monday through Wednesday. Testing must be scheduled in advance, but you can drop in for tutoring during those times. Either service can be in-person or online!

We will continue to have initial orientations Wednesdays at noon or by appointment. Give us a call today to learn more!

Greetings everyone,
I am so happy to share that Franklin County Adult Education’s Fall Catalogue is ready, and we think you're going to love what's inside. We have over 60 programs for you to explore, from earning your high school diploma, preparing for college, career coaching, obtaining workforce certifications to joining us for some ‘just-for-fun’ enrichment classes. There's truly something for everyone!
Keep an eye on your mailbox because the paper copy will be arriving sometime during Labor Day Week!

Registration is open now. You can register online, by mail, by phone, or by stopping by the office for a chat.

In addition, there are some new programs in the works that didn't quite make it into print. These programs and updates will be shared on our page, so give us a like and a follow to stay in the loop.

Introducing Dr. Donna Seppy
Director, Franklin County Adult Education

The RSU 9 Board unanimously approved Dr. Donna Seppy as our new Director of Franklin County Adult Education at the end of June. Dr. Seppy officially began her role on July 13th.

Even though this will be Donna’s first Adult Education Directorship, she comes to us with extensive experience supporting adult learners across multiple settings and disciplines, both within the U.S. and in the Marshall Islands. Within Maine, she has worked in the University of Maine System in multiple settings supporting adult learners of all ages for a number of years.

As a clinical counselor with a doctorate in education, Dr. Seppy brings nearly 30 years of experience supporting various educational settings—both small and large—including workforce development. She believes that students learn best when provided with meaningful instruction, clear structures, and exposure to real-world opportunities. Many of you may have already met Dr. Seppy as she has been busy getting her bearings and traveling around Franklin County over the past month.

We certainly look forward to Donna both continuing and building upon the many positive efforts of our two most recent former directors, Nancy Allen and Mary Redmond-Luce.
