College is one option after high school or an HSE, but it’s not the only one.

Depending on your goals, the right next step might be a community college program, certificate, apprenticeship, technical training, four-year degree, or another form of career preparation.

inCompass can help you compare options, including:
• Programs connected to your career interests
• Time, cost, location, and prerequisites
• Application and enrollment steps
• Financial aid, scholarships, and other resources
• How school or training fits with work and life

We can help you make an informed decision about the best fit for your future.

It’s normal to be unsure what you want to do.

Career exploration can help you move from “I have no idea” or “maybe something like this” toward real options you actually want to investigate.

With a Career Specialist, you can explore:
• Your interests, strengths, and priorities
• Careers and occupations you may not have considered
• Education or training connected to different paths
• Entry-level paths gaining experience

For eligible participants, paid internships or other work-based learning opportunities may also be part of the plan to move you towards a career goal.

You do not have to choose your lifelong career. Sometimes the next step is simply learning enough to decide what you want to try next.
