A newly announced USCIS policy could force legally present immigrants pursuing green cards to leave the United States and remain separated from their spouses and children for months — or even years.

And for some families, the situation is even more devastating.

Because immigrant visa processing has already been suspended in 75 countries, some individuals may be told to leave the U.S. to complete visa processing abroad — even when there is no functioning process available in their home country.

The result? Potentially indefinite family separation.

This is not about undocumented immigration. This policy targets people pursuing legal status and families trying to follow the law.

At World Relief, we believe families belong together. As Christians, we are called to protect the dignity of families and advocate for policies that uphold justice, compassion and family unity.

We are urging the administration to reverse this harmful policy.

A refugee father in Texas believed in more for himself and his family—and through determination, perseverance and hope, he achieved his dream of him becoming a licensed school bus driver. 🚌

Despite language barriers, uncertainty and countless challenges along the way, he never gave up on building a brighter future for his family. His story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we believe in more for our refugee neighbors.

This week, some of our staff members had the opportunity to attend Multi-Cultural Night at Clifford Davis Elementary School!

This event was hosted to celebrate the diversity of our community and included fun activities such as performances and a research fair showcasing countries around the world. Representatives from our Employment and Education programs were invited to meet families and share about our services.

We are so grateful for the investment makes in our future generation and for the opportunity to work alongside them to serve their students and families!
