Center for Transforming Lives works side-by-side women and their children throughout Tarrant County.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Fort Worth, this historic building houses HOPE. For more than 100 years, Center for Transforming Lives has focused on the needs of homeless and low-income women and children. Every year at State of the Center, Center for Transforming Lives recognizes the corporations, volunteers and supporters who go above and beyond in their partnerships with us and truly walk our values.

The Hope Award honors a volunteer whose compassion and encouragement inspires hope in participants facing life’s challenges.

Congratulations to Saundra Bradley, whose dedication is helping transform lives through our Workforce Development Pilot. By tutoring participants preparing to become Pharmacy Technicians, she has invested her time, adapted her schedule, and provided unwavering encouragement every step of the way. Through her consistent support, Saundra has helped participants believe that change is possible and that their brightest days are ahead.

We recently had the privilege of welcoming Joshua Roman to our campus, thanks to the generosity and support of The Cliburn! Joshua sampled his musical presentation, "Immunity," sharing his personal journey with navigating grief and loss of identity after a battle with illness. Our staff and participants enjoyed this incredibly special treat!

One of the hardest realities of working with people in crisis is when you have to say no. It’s even an emotional hit when we have to put people on the waiting list for counseling or a class, because they are telling us they’re ready for change, but we don’t have the resources to support them.
