Food access isn't just about having enough. It's also about having choices.

Food is a huge part of Hispanic and Latino cultures, from family recipes to the ingredients we grew up with. Being able to find foods you know, cook, and enjoy with your family matters, too.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we're celebrating the food, traditions, and cultures that bring people together around the table. ❤️

We're grateful to Charities for their longstanding commitment to helping end hunger! 💚

Thanks to their generous support, FRFB received $167,000 for facility and equipment repairs and $100,000 for food purchasing, supporting our Pantry Network and helping provide food to neighbors facing hunger.

We also welcomed 30+ Publix associates who volunteered at our warehouse yesterday. Together, they sorted 5 pallets of bread (1,000 pounds!), bagged 225 bags of produce, sorted more than 5 large bins of donated food and household items, and cleaned and reorganized 5 refrigerators and freezers for our pantry partners. 💪

From funding critical repairs and food purchases to lending a hand in our warehouse, Publix is making a difference throughout our community!

Thank you, Publix Charities and Publix associates, for the actions you have taken during this Hunger Action Month to advance the work of addressing hunger in our region. We're grateful to be ! 💚

Join us Saturday, October 3 from 12–5 p.m. at the Fredericksburg Field House for an afternoon celebrating local businesses, makers, artists, nonprofits and the community that brings us all together.

Stop by the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank's table to say hello, learn more about our work and find out how you can get involved in helping our neighbors.

We love any opportunity to connect with our community, and an event centered around giving back, supporting one another and gratitude sounds like a pretty good way to spend a Saturday.

What's one fruit or vegetable that's always making its way into your grocery cart? 🍎🥕🥬🍓

Fresh produce can bring so much flavor, color, and nutrition to a meal. But when you're handed something you've never cooked before, figuring out what to do with it can be a little intimidating.

That's where nutrition education comes in. We want our neighbors to have access to nutritious food and feel confident putting it to use at home.
