RCASA - Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault Our mission is to provide education, prevention, and intervention on sexual violence in our community.

The Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault, started in 1986, is the only place in Central Virginia that specializes in treatment for victims of sexually based crimes such as: sexual assault, sexual abuse, stalking, and sexual harassment.

Sexual violence is defined by the absence of consent, not by what can be seen on the outside.

Every victim/survivor deserves to be believed and supported.

People can respond in different ways like freezing, fawning, fleeing, or fighting and all of those responses are valid.

What matters is understanding that survival looks different for each person.
