Happy National Good Neighbor Day! 🏡
There’s something special about having good neighbors — the people who check in, lend a hand, wave from the porch, or simply look out for one another. Those little moments are what help make a neighborhood feel like home.
At Habitat, we’re grateful for the neighbors who help make Sandusky County a stronger community.
Know a great neighbor? Tag them below and let them know you appreciate them! ❤️

Last night we gathered with supporters for our Fly with Me | Happy Hour with a Mission! ✈️🌍

We’ve launched a fundraising goal to cover the airfare for our Executive Director, Pam, to visit our tithe affiliate in Lesotho. She’ll be joining other leaders from across the Habitat network to learn more about how our tithe helps provide safe, decent homes in a global context and to see that impact firsthand.

And thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Pam has already made her first connection in Atlanta and is now just off the coast of North America! 🌎✈️

Each $1 donated moves her another 7.25 miles toward Lesotho (and equally important on the roundtrip back to Ohio!).

Want to help get her there? Make a personal gift to Pam via Venmo: https://account.venmo.com/u/Pam-Kensler-1

Or, drop off a check or cash at the office.

Every donor will be entered into a raffle to win a unique gift that will make the journey back from Lesotho with Pam! 🎁

Help us keep Pam flying! ✈️💙

Hard hats aren't just for professionals. They're for everyone. 👷👷‍♀️
Retirees, students, first-time homebuyers: nobody on our build site started as an expert. They just showed up.
As we celebrate Construction Appreciation Week, we want to know: what's your favorite volunteer memory, or what's kept you from picking up a hammer? Tell us in the comments. 👇

We printed two receipts for the same house. 🧾
One's a construction invoice with caulk, screws, 2x4s, a lock set, all the way up to $135,000–$150,000 to build one home in our county. The other adds up to something no invoice can capture: safety, stability, pride, belonging, independence, legacy.
The first receipt comes with a price tag. The second is the reason we build. Help us make that second receipt possible for another family. Donate today. 💛🏠

It's Construction Appreciation Week and we're kicking things off with some news: please join us in welcoming Jayson, our new full-time Construction Manager! 👷‍♂️
Jayson started with us back in July and oversees every home build and repair project we take on. If you've driven by our current build on Ohio Ave lately, you may have noticed it's moving fast. That progress? Largely thanks to having dedicated, full-time leadership on site every day.
Thank you, Jayson for all your hard work so far!
