When Trayson Harrell was just 10 days old, he was diagnosed with sickle cell disease.

Over the years, blood transfusions became a critical part of his care, helping him through countless challenges and ultimately supporting him during a life-saving bone marrow transplant. Today, Trayson is thriving—a testament to his resilience and the generosity of blood donors.

On World Sickle Cell Day, we’re honoring the individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease and recognizing the donors who help make treatment possible.

For patients with sickle cell disease, blood isn’t just a donation. It’s hope. It’s healing. It’s more time with loved ones.

From one family’s fight to a statewide movement — TroyStrong is back. ❤️

What began in 2017 as a way for the Ross family of Great Falls to cope with their son Troy’s life-threatening illness has grown into a powerful effort helping patients across Montana.

Now, the Ross family is paying it forward in a big way.

Since its start, TroyStrong blood drives have collected more than 1,500 units of blood — bringing hope and lifesaving care to patients across the state and beyond.
