Jennifer and Jim reside in Pittsfield on a small 10 acre hobby farm. Jennifer and Jim have been licensed with Brown County since 2017 and primarilyy serve in the role of a general foster home and specialize in working with and providing care for children with developmental disabilities. They also enjoy providing respite to other foster families. As a family they enjoy spending time at their cabin, fishing, gardening, campfires, “pop corn and movie nights,” and going on hikes to search for berries, mushrooms and other forest treasures. When asked, “What does being foster parents mean to you?” the Goltz’s responded: “Foster parenting to us is a way to give back and make a positive impact on lives in need. It has been an amazing adventure that we hope to continue!”

-We sure hope the adventure continues for you as well! We are so lucky to have you as a part of our Foster Care Family! Thank you for all that you do for children of Brown County! We appreciate you so much more than know!

So very thankful for the amazing families who open their homes as foster parents to Brown County kids in need. #FosterCareMonth #fostercareawareness❤️💓💗💖

We would like to introduce you to Abe and Sara Bessera. They have been licensed with Brown County for three years as Foster parents. They started as a child specific home and after the first two years changed to a general home. One month after that, their family grew from one little one to three under three 😊. Then early this year their family grew again and now they have five kiddos. Sarah stated, "We are a very busy active house. We love spending time at parks and playing with our friends. Now that summer is upon us every one of the kiddos loves water and any excuse to get wet." Our Department is so grateful for the Bessera's and their commitment and dedication to caring for the children in their home. They are a strong asset to our foster care program and to the community. They are selfless in the love they give and their hearts and door is always open to children and families in need. Thank you Sara and Abe, from the bottom of our hearts! We could not do this work with out you!

Thank you, Bakke Family for taking the step of being foster parents to Brown County children! You are making a difference! #FosterCareMonth

We’d love to introduce to you, Team Bakke! The Bakke’s have been a licensed Brown County foster home since 2017 and have been an incredible asset to our program and community ever since! They step in whenever and wherever there is a need and are willing to answer our calls for assistance in the middle of the night! The Bakke’s embody grace, compassion and love and do a tremendous job of meeting birth parents where they are at, providing encouragement and acting as co-parents with the birth family whenever possible. Tabea has a way of putting others at ease and without hesitation, goes the extra mile! The Bakke’s understand that children and families have the best outcomes when our foster parents and birth parents have positive relationships and interactions and this does not go unnoticed in the work they do! The Bakke’s put the needs of children above all else and are fierce advocates for every child that enters their care! We are so honored to have Ryan and Tabea (and their children) as a part of our Foster Care Program and cannot thank them enough for all that they have done and continue to do for children and families of Brown County! You are absolutely incredible!
