Due to forecasted high winds, a burn ban is currently in effect. This measure is in place to help prevent the rapid spread of fire and keep our community safe.

Our crews participated in career day at River Valley High School yesterday. It was a full morning of answering questions about fire and ems as a career. If you are ever interested in becoming a firefighter or ems provider, please feel free to contact our department to schedule a station visit to talk to our crews!

Last week, Chikaming Twp., New Buffalo Township Fire Department, and New Buffalo City Fire Department trained on ladders. This involved quick single person deployment of a 24’ extension ladder, deploying 35’ extension ladders, and aerial device placement and operation.
