🚧 Natural Gas Project Notice 🚧

The City of Hazard would like to inform the public that a natural gas project is currently being conducted in the area around the Hazard Water Plant. During this project, residents may notice a natural gas odor in the surrounding area.

There is NO danger to the public.
The smell comes from a safety additive placed in natural gas to help detect leaks more easily.

Crews are actively working in the area and appreciate your patience and understanding while this project is completed.
