Rocky Mountain Development Council, Inc. (Rocky) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) human resources development council. We have been working in south-central Montana since 1965 and are part of a network of ten such organizations in Montana and 1,000 community action agencies around the Nation. We are committed to improving the quality of life for all community members, especially for those who face poverty or for whom mental illness, isolation, or age puts them at unusual risk. We are also committed to encouraging volunteerism that itself addresses community need. Rocky’s programs range from Low Income Energy Assistance to Affordable Housing to Meals on Wheels to Foster Grandparents to Head Start, and many more.

Just one day a week can make a big difference! Volunteers commit to one weekday per week, from 8:45 AM to 10:00 AM, excluding scheduled holidays.

Meet Bree, Rocky’s New Finance Director!

We’re thrilled to welcome Bree to the Rocky team! She brings seven years of nonprofit accounting experience, including five years as the Director of Finance for the Montana Primary Care Association.

A Helena native, Bree was drawn to Rocky’s mission and the wide variety of services we provide to our community and surrounding area.

“I like puzzles. I enjoy digging into the details and spreadsheets and sorting everything into its place. Ultimately strong financial practices ensure the good work can continue.”

Bree is looking forward to expanding her knowledge and getting to know the people and organizations that support Rocky’s mission. She’s already been struck by how welcoming everyone has been and how much they love their work.

Outside of work, Bree and her husband stay busy with their five kids, enjoy traveling and attending concerts, and raise chickens that have become family pets!

Please join us in giving Bree a warm Rocky welcome! 💙💚
