It was my honor to recognize District 8’s very own Pearl City Little League Baseball Team for winning the 2026 Senior League World Series Championship!

The team showed incredible determination throughout the tournament, earning a walk-off victory in the U.S. Semifinal, a dominant 12-0 shutout to claim the U.S. Championship, and a 5-0 victory over Curaçao to become World Champions!

Congratulations to the players, coaches, and families on this incredible accomplishment. District 8 is so proud of you!

Congratulations Castle & Cooke Hawaii on celebrating 175 years!

Castle & Cooke’s impact is especially meaningful to me through the communities they have helped build, including Mililani, which I’ve called home for over 23 years, and more recently, Koa Ridge. Both communities hold a special place in District 8, providing places where generations of families can put down roots, grow, and call home

It was an honor to recognize this incredible milestone and Castle & Cooke Hawaiʻi’s longstanding legacy and contributions to our communities with an honorary certificate alongside my colleagues.

Mahalo for your continued commitment to Hawaiʻi and for helping shape communities that will serve local families for generations to come. Congratulations again on 175 years, and here’s to many more!

It was great to be a part of the celebratory parade and see the incredible support from the community as we celebrated this amazing accomplishment!

After Tropical Storm Lala, my office team and I went out into District 8 to connect with constituents and hand out newsletters with storm preparedness and recovery resources.

While out in the community, we were able to document fallen trees, raised sidewalks, and other concerns caused by the storm.

We are committed to helping our community recover and addressing these issues as quickly as possible. My office continues to work with City departments to clear fallen trees, address safety concerns, and help keep our neighborhoods safe and accessible. Mahalo to the Department of Facility Maintenance (DFM) for their quick response and assistance in clearing fallen trees and branches throughout the district.

Mahalo to everyone who took the time to speak with us and share their concerns. We will continue to follow up and work toward getting these issues resolved.

Mahalo to Hawaii Department of Transportation , Hawai’i Dept Land Natural Resources - DLNR , and Honolulu Department of Facility Maintenance for joining us for a site visit of Waiawa Stream and the Pearl Harbor Bike Path.

I appreciate everyone’s collaboration and attention to addressing these concerns and improving the area for our community. I look forward to continuing our work together to maintain and improve the Pearl Harbor Bike Path and surrounding areas.
