Today marked the last day of the 33rd Legislature, and the House of Representatives officially adjourned sine die. It was a successful legislative session, we worked to expand affordable housing opportunities, support Native Hawaiian families, protect essential social services, address workforce shortages, strengthen the State’s revenue base responsibly, and diversify our economy. I am also proud and excited to report that our advocacy on community issues, bills, and needs were heard by my colleagues, and House District 48 will be receiving millions of dollars in funding for our schools, infrastructure, and community organizations. We will share more about this legislative session and the positive impact on our community in the coming weeks.
