E-Read Texas recently launched a new site specifically for children in Kindergarten through 8th grade!

E-Read Texas for Kids includes a collection of more than 600 titles from Teacher Created Materials, including the TIME for Kids series. The majority of the titles comprise juvenile nonfiction, including science, mathematics, sports, history, and art, in both English and Spanish. The site also includes juvenile fiction and craft and hobby books for kids. Because these books allow unlimited simultaneous users, they are the perfect fit for winter break reading! Encourage your children to indulge in some fun break time reading about animals, crafts, and a variety of interesting topics. This is a great time to introduce kids to e-books and keep them reading during the long break from school.

E-Read Texas for Kids can be accessed at https://e-readtxkids.biblioboard.com/home.

I love getting fun, nonsensicle gifts. Even though I need a new shampooer to make my life better, I'd rather get a basket full of my favorite candy and some fun socks. My friend on the other hand loves practical gifts. More of a "Here are all the things I need for my house that I have not been willing to buy myself, so now I am going to ask someone else to get it for me."

Practical Gifts Vs Fun Gifts, what kind of gifts do you like to receive? The winner will be announced later this week.

#1 Public Library in Houston !!
Is the library open today?
You guys were so awesome when the power went out during Saturday's storm! I'm so happy to have your location so close to me. And we loved Lou with Faithful Paws!
Cute and fun summer books 📚 to read. These were fun, easy, and quick to read, Thess books were very good to help with predictions and used the pictures to talk about how the characters must be feeling. All for great conversations! My daughters and I enjoyed these books! Thank you ladies at the library for putting books out on the shelves based on themes (ex: voting, seasons, etc.), it makes it a lot easier for us moms to pick something out to grab and go. We love the library and all who work hard to keep it an enjoyable place, thank you 😊
