Your “Window of Tolerance” is the zone where your nervous system feels steady enough to handle stress. Understanding when you’re inside or outside of it can help you choose the right coping skill.

In today’s , Leslie Rodriguez, LCSW, walks us through what hyperarousal and hypoarousal look like, and how grounding, paced breathing, and sensory tools can help widen your window over time. 💚

If you or someone you know needs Mental Health Counseling services, please contact us at familyhouston.org/mentalhealth.

Pierre Matta, Family Houston Licensed Mental Health Clinician, led a Community Mental Health Workshop at West End Multi-Service Center, bringing coping skills and emotional well-being support to community members still recovering from Hurricane Beryl. Attendees left with disaster kits, gift cards, and nonperishable items to help them on their journey forward.

This work is made possible by a Long-Term Recovery grant from the American Red Cross. 💚
